  Real family, really good southern food. I had the oxtails with rice and beans and a side of collards, soooo good, slow cooked heaven. Be hungry when you go, not in a hurry. Breakfast is also amazing, no instant grits here. Pork chops, fish, chicken and waffle, all excellent! Don't forget to grab a small sweet potato pie to go.

  Bjs is so great and whoever says not, i cant stop you, but your wrong in my world. Ive had bjs many times, and have it every year for my birthday, and i only have the best food in town for my birthday, and bjs is the best food in town

  I was very disappointed. After waiting two days to try this place, I'm sad to say my excitement was for nothing. For starters, the place had a strange smell to it, like the combination of cigarettes and dirty rags. The atmosphere wasn't very welcoming. I ordered the oxtail with Mac and cheese and rice and beans on the side. The oxtail has no seasoning on it, as if it had been boiled and then covered in gravy. The rice and beans had no taste at all and the the Mac and cheese tasted good for about two bites before it gave way to a faint taste that I can only describe as chemical. Look, I'm sure there are times when the food is still good and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. Maybe I went on an off night. After all the positive reviews I read, I can't believe some people have been going there for decades. This was not what I expected at all.
